Pam McVety

Pam McVety, a biologist, worked in multiple senior management positions for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and was the recipient of numerous environmental recognitions including being recognized as one of the most important female environmental leaders in the 20th century in Florida.

Since retiring she educates and advocates for action to address the climate crisis. She was a founding member of both the Big Bend Climate Action team which convinced the City of Tallahassee not to build a coal-fired power plant, and Fossil Free PCUSA which led to the Presbyterian denomination beginning divestment of its fossil fuel holdings.
